The Story

At heart, we are storytellers.

Every lyric and every sonic detail is carefully chosen and crafted to fit the story we're trying to convey.  There are songs on the burning pile that came up one word short, and recorded outtakes that contained all of the right notes but lacked...  Something.  These songs mean a great deal to us, and we are humbled by the idea that they might mean something to you, as well.  We've tried our best to remain true to the spark of inspiration that comes with each song; it's the most important thing we do as performers.

We've undergone some significant changes over the course of two years, and our new album - Suitcase - navigates the territory between our past and present.  Where Hold On was a collection of ambitious, striving indie rock anthems, Suitcase is more reserved and contemplative.  Hold On sought to conquer the world; Suitcase is dedicated to finding a sense of “home.”

Both musically and thematically, Suitcase relies on tough, personal choices – what you take with you, what you leave behind.  The songs are a collection of people, places, sights, sounds, and sentiments I've called “home” in my 15 years as a traveling musician.  From beauty to tragedy, each song on the album represents “home” in its own unique way.  We invite you to give each song a listen, and hope you enjoy the new stories we have to tell...

Thanks for listening!  ~eric
